How to delete your account in the app
- Open Jade.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Account section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion request.
If you created a signed-in account, you may be asked to re-authenticate before deletion for security reasons.
If you cannot access the app
Email us at support@usejade.app with the subject "Account deletion request".
Please include:
- the email address linked to your Jade account, if you created one
- or a short note that you used Jade without creating a signed-in account
We may ask for additional information to verify the account or app session before deleting data.
What we delete
When your account deletion request is completed, we delete or anonymize account-associated Jade data where applicable, including:
- your Jade account identity
- cloud-synced study data, decks, flashcards, and review progress
- account-associated generated Jade Page / learner-help records
- account-associated app preferences stored in the cloud
- account-associated cloud backup data
For users who use Jade without creating a signed-in account, Jade primarily stores study data locally on the device. Deleting the app removes local-only app data from that device. If any data is associated with an anonymous technical app account, you can request deletion using the same process above.
What may be kept
Some data may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, purchase/accounting, or operational reasons. This may include:
- purchase and subscription records handled by Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat, or payment providers
- security, abuse-prevention, crash, diagnostic, and server logs
- aggregated analytics that no longer identify an individual user
- public or shared AI-generated educational content that is not tied to an identifiable user account
Retention period
We aim to complete account deletion requests within 30 days after verification. Some backup, log, fraud-prevention, billing, or legally required records may be retained for longer where necessary.
